FishBanners
Frequently Asked Questions.
Is
FishBanners Really Free?
Yes,
FishBanners is a free service.
Where
and how do I get the code for my page?
When
you login into your FishBanners account you will have an option to "Get
HTML Code".
When
will my banners begin displaying?
When
you join FishBanners your account is placed in a "queue". FishBanners
staff review accounts every day and ensure that they meet our requirements.
Upon verification of the information you provided on the membership
application, we will validate your account within 24 hours, you will
receive e-mail when your site and banner are validated.
May
I modify the FishBanners HTML code?
As
stated in our Terms & Conditions, the FishBanners HTML code may NOT
be modified. Modified code will not track your banner impressions correctly.
If we find anyone modifying it, their account is subject to deletion
by the FishBanners staff.
What
exactly FishBanners 10:7 ratio means?
Every
time a banner is displayed on your site, you'll earn a credit. For every
10 credits your account earns, our system will display your banner seven
times on other members' sites (10:7 ratio). For instance, if your site
displays 1000 banners, your FishBanners account earns 700 credits, and
our system will display your banner 700 times on other FishBanners member
sites. Other banner swap sites only give you 5 view for every 10 you
display on your site.
Can
I place my html code on different URL then listed under my account?
Yes
you are allowed to insert the code into multiple pages of your website,
increasing your credits even more when someone visits your site! We
encourage you to place the code on the top of all pages of your site.
Can
I have more then one banner under my account?
Yes
you can have up to 3 banners of each available size.
Do
you support flash banners, small banners (logos), big logos, etc.?
Yes
we do support flash banners and at the moment we allow 468x60 and 120x60
graphic banners.
My
site had 1000 page views but under my statistics it says that I have only
displayed your code 700 times.
This normally happens when you place our banner at the bottom of your
pages. Visitors will often click to another page before the banner is
loaded. We encourage you to place the banner at the top of the page
for best results.
